VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES at CC-OIC:::: Students in the GED classes can gain from the individualized attention of a one-on-one tutor, perhaps with a special interest in one or more of the content areas (reading, math, social studies, writing or science). Study material is provided and the schedule and location are flexible.
The OIC Workforce Literacy Program offers computer-assisted learning in our computer lab at the Chester County Library in Exton. Volunteers are always needed to help students in the computer lab. This opportunity is available for either day or evening hours. The volunteer tutor should have good computer skills. The software and training are provided.
Volunteers are needed to help students improve their ability to speak English as their second language. Students meet with their tutors at a library or other community facility, one or two times a week for approximately 90 minutes. You would be matched with a student who shares your schedule and geographic location. No special skills are required. Training is provided. | |||
