:::: MEET THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ::::

Joyce Chester's tenure with CC-OIC began with service and that spirit continues to this day. Her vision and experience have led the agency to break new ground in client support and advancement. Through networking and forming alliances in Chester County, Joyce has worked hard to promote CC-OIC's services. Since Joyce's association with CC-OIC, the agency has established programs such as I CAN, Certified Nurse Assistant Training and Xpress Success. Under Joyce's leadership, existing programs have experienced significant expansion, additional partnerships and new direction. Last winter, Joyce launched the Phoenixville branch of CC-OIC and extended assistance to the disadvantaged there.

Beginning in 1988 as a member of the CC-OIC Board of Directors, Joyce served until 1992. In July, 2001 she taught GED classes. Shortly after, she was hired as the Program Director of the Preparing for Independence Program (PFI), coaching homeless men and women in workplace and employability skills and developed the I Can Program. She was promoted to Deputy Director in August, 2002. Joyce accepted the Executive Directorship in August, 2003.

Joyce's professional background includes 4 years as a computer instructor at Delaware County Community College, 3 years as Technology Director at a local non-profit agency, and 20 years experience in corporate business management.

Her educational credentials include: Organizational Dynamics - Immaculata University; English - Villanova University; and Radio, TV and Film - Temple University. Joyce is also a Certified Microsoft User Specialist.
